This class includes yoga breathing to de-stress and aid relaxation, gentle stretching and flexing exercises which are done from a chair, but also gives the option of  standing exercises and sequences.  However, these can be adapted and mainly done from a chair if wished.  We have a good range of ages, from active 60s’ (several look younger but I don’t pry!) to some magnificent students in their 90s!  So it is never too late to start!

Who are the Chair Yoga classes suitable for? These classes are suitable for those who want to keep mobility and flexibility and increase strength, balance  and stamina without having to lie down or get up and down from the floor.  The movements are largely done from a chair, making them suitable for those in wheelchairs or who have difficulty standing, although standing poses and sequences are included for those who are wish to do them.   The classes also aim to increase an overall sense of well-being.
